     We, about 150 cyclist had a fantastic bicycle tour in South Turkey. The old friends came together again and we made a lot of nice friends during our third unforgettable tour.

      I must be exhausted after the rain.

     

     Having a nice break and a nap for a few minutes. We definitely deserved it

      A nice island ( Buyukada - Istanbul ) tour with my friends Cenap abi and Haluk. This island is fortunately a car free zone.

      December. On the way to Bangkok. Color full airport of Abu Dhabi where I had to change my plane.

      Abu Dhabi hava alaninda Bangkok'a transfer.

 

     THAILAND.

 

     

     When I arrived the Bangkok, I had a heat shock. I needed immediately a hear cut. The temperature is about 35 degrees, (over 85 F).

     Kis aylarindan yazin ortasina gelince saclari kestirmek sart oldu.

     

      The life doesn't exist only from working and biking. My musician friends Uli (Germany), Erhan (Istanbul) and I had a wonderful time at the Koh Samui beach almost every day, for 3 weeks.

     Almanya'dan Uli ve Istanbul'dan Erhan arkadasimla Koh Samui sahillerinde unutulmaz muzik dolu gunler gecirdik. Hakikaten hayatta is ve bisikletin disinda cok daha fazla haz alinacak seyler var .

      Now is the fun over . I'm with my bicycle on the way again. It was so hot but the Thai nature was so amazing, I almost forget all my pain after the ride. Now I can have a beer on the beach .

      Ve cikiyorum yollara tekrar. Uzunca bir aradan sonra tekrar yollarda olmak anlatilmaz bir mutluluk ancak bazen de sicaklarin etkisiyle cekilmez olabiliyor . Ilk gunumde sansliydim ve deniz kenarinda guzel bir gece gecirdim.

     When we have our fish on the table, usually we never think about that the people have to work very hard for us .

      Bazilarimiz sofrasinda baligin tadini cikarirken digerleri bizim icin o sicakta canla basla calisiyor.

      It must be a Chinese Temple. I saw the similar temples with pastel colors in Vietnam.

      Cin tarzi Buddha tapinagi. Bu tarz tapinaklara Cinlilerin cok onceleri goc ettikleri tum Asya ulkelerinde rastlamak mumkun.

     

     The young or old people love it. Karaoke is a big hit in Asia. You can see that kind of private stages almost every where.

      Iste bu karaoke salonlari da asya genclerinin zevkle vakit gecirdigi koselerden biri.

     You must be awake anytime, legs up . Fortunately this snake wasn't moving when I saw it. I encountered at least 5-6 moving or not moving snakes every day.

      Asya'yada pedalladiginiz zaman bu soguk yaratiklardan cokca gorebiliyorsunuz. Neyse ki bu seferki hareket etmiyordu ben oradayken. Eger hareket halindeyseler, tek yontem onceden durmak veya ayaklari olabildigince havaya kaldirmak.

       

      Do I still look fit and energetic  ?  Ohhh thanks.....

      This interesting shuhe maker repaired my shoes so good. Actually he looked like a rock guitarist. 

      Bu arkadas, ufak bir kasabada yazlik ayakkabilarimi 2 numara kuculten bir kunduraci. Aslinda kendisi daha cok bir rock gitaristine benziyor.

     

      I visited my friend in her house. She waited for me two hours on the main street because it was difficult to find her house without address.

      Eeee.. davet olur da gitmemek olmaz simdi. Samui'den bir arkadasimin yol ustundeki evine davet ediliyorum. Yazik beni 2 saat beklemisler ana caddede.

      Bu adamcagiz da kendini oyle isine vermis ki kimse umurunda degil .

     

      Did you know all the Thai boys had to be a monk for a while? All the Buddhist monks stop eating approximately from 6 am until 7 pm all their life. But they only may drink milk and water during the day.

      Thailand'da butun erkek cocuklari tapinaga gitmek zorunda ama suresi kendilerine bagli, bir hafta da olabiliyor omur boyu da. Buda rahipleri sabah 6'dan aksam 7'ye kadar sut ve su haricinde hic birsey yemiyorlar. Yani omur boyu oruc .

      Are you kidding me or are you serious?  Do you wanna marry me ..... I hope it wont be a fake marriage to stay in my country .

      Malezya sinirinda goruntu tamamen degisiyor ama yabancilara karsi guler yuzlu sayilirlar.

     

      Muslim girls weren't so shy as I thought. They promised me to find another two girls and we can have a good family of five .

     Bu genc kizlardan, iki arkadaslarini daha bulduklari zaman geri donecegime dair soz verdim .

     

      Somebody had to work hard when somebody had a vocation on the wheels .   

      Ya iste hayat, bazilari bisiklet ustunde tatil geciriyor, bazilari da aksam eve birseyler goturmenin ugrasisinda.                                                                 

        

      Al my skin has been burnt from the sun. But the trip must go.    

      Son gunlerde o kadar gunes altinda bisiklet surdum ki her tarafim kipkirmizi oldu  .

      I was so lucky to see all the coming events. I almost stopped 10 miles before the city to stay over. But some how I continued. I saw a Indian family on the road and I asked the for a hotel. They were so pretty looking, I thought it must be a wedding party some where. I shouldn't miss the party. And the I found out that it was a huge Indian festival in the city.

Be aware , If you can't see the violence, skip the pictures faster or avoid looking at them .

      Insan bazen sansli olmali veya merakli. Tam bu aksam otel ararken yol kenarinda Hindistan'li guzel giyinmis bir aile gordum. Tamam dedim dugun var herhalde bu gece, buralara yakin bir otel bulayim da bu renkli dugune katilayim derken, polis bana buyuk bir festival oldugunu soyledi. Hemen aceleyle ustumu degistirip katildim Malezyada yasayan Hindistan'lilarin arasina.

Eger siddet sahnelerinden hoslanmiyorsaniz asagidaki resimlere bakmanizi tavsiye etmem .

     

     

       The people started to gather with their best costumes late afternoon.

      Aksamustu en guzel kiyafetlerini giyinmis aileler toplanmaya basladi yavas yavas.

      Burasi buyuk bir bahcenin icindeki Hindu tapinagi. Herkes bu tapinagin etrafinda yuruyor.

     

      Not only walking, some of them were rolling to suffer and suffer.

      Hatta bazilari yurumekle kalmayip done done surunuyorlar.

     

      First, I was so shy to take a picture with the guys. Because you never know how could they respond to a foreigner. I almost put my hand on his shoulder but can you imagine what was he wearing  ?

All the small metal cups was attached on his body. You can not see his pain on his face.

      After 6-7 miles walking outside of the Temple, they entered to turn three times around the Temple.

     Gruplar oncelikle tapinak disinda 10 km uzunlugundaki bir yolda turlayip sonradan tapinagin bahcesine girip 3 defa tapinagi turladiktan sonra bu yilki amaclarina ulasmis oluyorlar.

     

      Unbelievable......

      Inanilacak gibi degil . Hic oyle televizyonlarda ki gibi degil, tam burnumun ucundaki gercek.

      Simdi kimse bana bu genc cocuk aci cekmiyor demesin !

     

      Here is the court of the temple. If there was a small panic, it'd cost a few hunderd lives. It was so crazy that a lot of people brought their babies and small children.

      Burasi tapinagin bahcesi, binlerce kisi coluk cocuk tiklim tiklim doldurmus alani. Bir yerde de isi saglama almak icin cikisa yakin yerde duruyorum. Bakarsiniz ufak bir bomba, panik falan ardindan yuzlerce olu.

     

     

      I couldn't believe it. Was it true or was it a dream ?

      Sanki ruyada gibiyim. Bir anda tum olanlarin gercek olduguna inanamiyorum.

     

      Herhalde cocuklar bu torenleri cok gordukleri icin umurlarinda degil aci ceken insanlar. Onlar hosca vakit geciriyorlar guzel muzik esliginde.

      Adamlarin her hareketinden bu isin uzmanlari oldugu belli. Herhalde vucutlarindaki agirlik 5-6 kg vardir.

      Then, I wanted to go back to the hotel. But how could I walk against the stream. It took me a lot of nerves and time to make a step.

      I decided not to go so fast and I enjoyed my company. The mother reminded me that I was in India in last year .

      Three sisters. It wasn't easy to take pictures from the ladies. First I had to ask for permission from their father.

      Kizlarin babasindan musade almadan resim cekmek hic de oyle kolay degil .

     

      It was brutal.

      The drums had to be heated for a good harmony.

      Arada bir davullarin isitilmasi gerekli ki nagmeler guzel tinlasin.

     

      Then they sounded better.

     

      It is the proof that I was there .

      I promised that I will join them in next year.

      Seneye tekrar gorusmek uzere vedalasiyoruz.

      The three had to pull the huge car.

      Bu uc kisi koskocaman bir arabayi cekiyorlardi.

     

      He fasted and only drank milk in the morning and at night. He also slept alone on the floor for 45 days before this.

      Bu arkadas 45 gun boyunca yerde yatmis, sadece sut ve su icmis gece gunduz. Yani acilara onceden hazirllanmaya baslamis.

      Why they do that?

      Achievement.

      Believing.

      Success.

      Religion.

      Some how, I compare them with myself. I suffer in different way not in religious way. I rode 6-7 hours my bike everyday. Some days are hilly, some days are very hot or very wet or cold. If you wanna achieve something, you have to believe in yourself, you have to suffer and suffer. After all you have an endless happiness.

      Nicin bunca aci ve eziyet?

      Bir yerde tum dinlerde var aci cekmek, nedense? Bir yerde de kendimi karsilastirdim onlarla, ben de gunde 6-7 saat gunes altinda bir nevi az da olsa iskence ediyorum kendime ama sonunda basarmanin verdigi his, insanin kendine daha fazla guvenmesi inanilmaz bir duygu.
